Tony Stark D.O. grew up in Bountiful, UT. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Zoology from Southern Utah University (SUU). While at SUU, Dr. Stark served as president of the pre-medical honor society Alpha Epsilon Delta and worked as a physical therapy aid helping many patients rehabilitate from Orthopedic and sports injuries. After college he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. Following medical school he completed his internship and specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA).
Prior to joining Alpine Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Stark treated an array of musculoskeletal injuries and back pain at Iowa Orthopedics in Des Moines, Iowa. In addition to his clinical duties at Iowa Ortho, Dr. Stark was a team physician for the Iowa Wild of the AHL, provided medical coverage for the Drake University Bulldogs, and covered sporting events for local high schools.
During his training and career, Dr. Stark has gained extensive experience in treating a variety of musculoskeletal complaints. Dr. Stark’s practice specializes in up-to-date non-surgical management of sports related injuries, joint pain, interventional spine care (i.e. lumbar epidural steroid injections, SI joint injections, facet blocks, rhizotomy, etc.) and EMG/Nerve Conduction testing. His approach to treatment focuses on decreasing pain, maximizing function, and improving quality of life.
Dr. Stark lives in Bozeman with his wife Nikki and their two daughters Sophie and Audrey. He is an avid fly fisherman, skier, and sports enthusiast.
